Wendy Joined GenNorth in September 2023 to further support our Clients develop, understand and implement their Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon requirements.. Before joining Gen North, Wendy co-founded Scott Hughes Design, a Structural, Civil and sustainability consultancy, prior to its acquisition by Ridge and Partners in 2020. As a Partner at Ridge,

Wendy helped establish and grow their sustainability business across 13 offices and all business sectors. Wendy led the Ridge sustainability consultancy teams in London, Manchester and Leeds, over the past three years being responsible for the sustainability elements of delivery of construction projects up to £110 m. Wendy is a chartered civil and structural engineer and BREEAM AP & Assessor with a wealth of experience in ESG Policies, Net Zero Carbon strategies, co-ordination and declarations, Embodied Carbon Modelling and Sustainability Accreditations (BREEAM, LEED, HQM, WELL, Fitwel etc) across multiple sectors.

Wendy has particular expertise in strategic sustainability planning and Net Zero Carbon strategies. She is also able to offer Net Zero Carbon Co-Ordinator Services against the NHS Net Zero Carbon Standard and the Department of Education Net Zero Carbon requirements.
